New Günaydın Videos Keep America Up To Date On Turkish Current Events

The Yunus Emre Institute in Washington D.C. kicked off February 2021 with a new format for the Günaydın daily news program. Since the pandemic started in Spring 2020, the Yunus Emre Institute has been providing daily cultural news about current events in Turkey. Starting this month, February 2021, the Günaydın daily news program will be a short video to get your morning started on all social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

What was once a digital program based purely on text and images, has been thrusted into a new level of digital content. There is no denying that all kinds of news media have had to adapt recently to catch viewers’ attention but nothing has proven more effective than video content and the power of social media. Every morning at 7:00 AM EST, a new Günaydın daily news video will be shared to our viewers on all of our social media platforms. This program will cover a wide range of current events, focusing particularly on cultural events that are occurring in Turkey. There is no better way to keep up with Turkish culture than checking in on the top stories every morning before getting the day started.

The program started on Monday, February 1st, with stories detailing Turkey’s vaccination rollout plan, President Erdoğan’s recent conversation with Elon Musk, and how Turkey’s antique shops have adapted to the pandemic. As the week continued, some of the top stories included reopening Turkish schools in March and the World Bank providing $2.5 billion in financial support to continue Turkey’s top projects. The videos have garnered several hundred views on social media as the new video format gains traction among Turkish culture enthusiasts. The Yunus Emre Institute in Washington D.C. looks forward to continuing to give you the latest information on cultural news in Turkey every morning at 7:00 AM EST on all social media platforms and YouTube.
